As part of this commitment, the Wests Group has committed $2 million to Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW to support the “Building a Bigger Heart” expansion.
Delivered through Knights Strong, this investment will expand Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle to meet growing demand. The redevelopment will deliver 11 new self-contained family units and enhanced shared spaces, ensuring families can remain close to their child’s hospital bedside in a safe, supportive environment.
This commitment builds on a partnership between the Wests Group and Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW spanning more than two decades. From providing meals and volunteer support to investing in long-term infrastructure, this enduring relationship reflects a shared purpose — ensuring families are never turned away when they need help most.
