Major Investment in Netball Facilities Complete

A major investment in local netball infrastructure has now been completed, with Wests officially delivering a brand-new clubhouse alongside the resurfacing of six council-owned netball courts at New Lambton.

The completed project marks a significant milestone for Wests Leagues Netball Club and the wider netball community, providing modern facilities that support more than 500 players across 50 teams.

The new purpose-built clubhouse at the western end of New Lambton Bowling Club replaces ageing infrastructure and creates a central home for players, volunteers, officials, and families. Designed to better support participation and growth in the sport, the facility delivers improved amenities and a more welcoming environment for the local netball community.

The project also included the resurfacing of six existing council-owned courts, improving safety, durability and overall playing conditions for the growing competition.

Wests Board Member and former Wests Netball Junior, Sam Poolman, said the completed development would have a lasting impact on the sport locally.

“To now see these facilities complete is incredibly special,” Poolman said.

“This investment creates a modern home for local netballers and recognises the important role grassroots sport plays in our community.

“The upgraded courts and new clubhouse will support players, families and volunteers for years to come, while helping the game continue to grow across the region.”

The investment reflects Wests’ ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sport and creating facilities that strengthen community participation and connection across Greater Northern NSW.
