The Wests Executive Team recently visited Ronal McDonald House, who's mission is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare.
The team used their community care hours to volunteer their time, here's what they had to say:
"Volunteering for the "Meals from the Heart" initiative at Ronald McDonald House was a humbling and heartfelt experience for our team, made possible through the community hours and meal resources donated by Wests. Preparing and sharing the meal, followed by a fun dessert trolley that brought big smiles to the kids, gave us the chance to connect with the families. Hearing their stories of incredible strength and resilience reminded us how important kindness and support are during their most challenging moments."
"Ronald McDonald House provides seriously ill children with the greatest gift—their families. The Newcastle House offers a warm, supportive home-away-from-home, giving families a comfortable place to stay close to their child at John Hunter Children’s Hospital. Wests supports RMHC in many ways, from hands-on involvement like our team’s participation to significant financial contributions, ensuring that families in need receive the care and support they deserve during these difficult times.
