Our People Our Community
Earlier this month, our People and Culture team organised a meaningful event: a Mental Health Morning Tea for Wests employees. This gathering provided a safe space for open conversations about mental health, emphasising the importance of support and awareness in our workplace.
We were honoured to have keynote speaker Craig Killian from Beyond Blue join us. Craig shared his personal journey with anxiety and depression, delivering an inspiring presentation that shed light on the often-overlooked issue of men's mental health. His candid insights resonated deeply with attendees, encouraging everyone to prioritize their mental wellbeing.
In addition to Craig's impactful talk, Kelly Pavan represented the Rosewood Centre, extending invaluable support to our team. She highlighted the Employee Assistance Program, which offers free and confidential support to all Wests employees. This program is a vital resource, ensuring that our staff have access to the help they need when they need it.
We are proud to foster a culture of openness and support at Wests. Events like the Mental Health Morning Tea not only raise awareness but also reinforce our commitment to the mental wellbeing of our employees.
