A New Horizon For Hope
In partnership with Housing Plus, Wests is proud to be a key funding contributor to two core and cluster housing projects in East Maitland and Lake Macquarie, supporting women and children escaping domestic violence.
The housing projects will deliver a combined 25 beds across 17 units – 8 units at East Maitland and 9 units at Lake Macquarie, providing much-needed capacity for women and children across the Hunter region.
Delivered in conjunction with NSW Government funding, both projects have progressed beyond planning and procurement, with construction now underway at each location—marking a significant milestone in bringing these critical facilities to life.
Once complete in Q2 2027, the developments will provide safe, purpose-built accommodation, alongside essential wraparound support services including counselling, legal aid, education, and case management. Together, these services will deliver long-term, trauma-informed care for women and children across the Hunter region.
Through this investment, Wests is helping to create safer futures and stronger communities for those who need it most.
