Making the Hours Count
As part of the Wests Marketing Team, I recently used my allocated community hours to volunteer with Soul Hub in Newcastle, a local organisation dedicated to supporting the poor, vulnerable, and those facing challenging times.
During our time there, we served meals, connected with individuals in need, and worked alongside other local volunteers. It was both a humbling and inspiring experience, seeing firsthand the positive impact Soul Hub has on the community. Their new purpose-built facility—made possible by donations like the $300,000 ClubGRANT from The Wests Group—offers a safe and welcoming environment where people can share a warm meal, receive medical care, and access wellbeing services.
I'm proud to work for an organisation that empowers its employees to give back, and I'm more motivated than ever to continue contributing to our community.
