The Wests Diggers Bowls Club, established after World War II, began as a social group for ex-service men and has since become an inclusive community group for both men and women. With 85 members, the club is based at Nelson Bay Bowling Club and Soldiers Point Bowls Club and enjoy competing locally and away with other clubs in locations such as Hexham, Maitland, Old Bar, and Gloucester.
Wests Nelson Bay proudly supports the Wests Diggers Bowls Club by hosting their Annual General Meetings and providing raffle prizes, vouchers and uniforms. The Wests Diggers Bowls Club offers a welcoming environment for both seasoned bowlers and newcomers. It’s an excellent way to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the game of lawn bowls.
Membership requires joining both the Wests Group and the Nelson Bay Bowling Club allowing full participation in all activities and benefits across both locations. For more information on joining, please contact Mary Judge | 4984 9344
