3 steps to get personalised tech help

Step 2

Book your session. You will receive a confirmation SMS and email upon booking and a reminder 72 and 24 hours before the session.

Step 3

Check-in to your session 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. Don’t forget to bring your device i.e. phone, laptop etc. Enjoy 30 minutes of one-on-one tech assistance.

Do I need to be a Wests member to book in a session?

Yes, you need to be a Wests member. Become a Wests Social member for FREE here.

Where and when will the sessions be held?

Youngsters sessions will be held at The Patisserie at Wests New Lambton, Wednesdays 1:30pm to 3:30pm and Fridays 10:00am to 12:00pm from Wednesday 8 May to Friday 31 May 2024.


What can the Youngsters help with?
  • Phone skills: scrolling, using menus, navigating, installing and using apps and setting emails, and more
  • Video call management: setting up platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Facetime, Microsoft Teams, etc to connect with friends, family or colleagues
  • Social media: learn to connect with other people on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or other social media platforms
  • Be scam aware: identify suspicious emails and call
  • Wests Digital channels: get help to download your Wests Digital Card and use the Wests Member Hub. Subscribe to Wests Newsletters and social channels so you don’t miss anything exciting happening at your favourite Club.

Do I need to bring my own device to the session?

Yes, please bring the device you need help with to the session (your mobile phone, laptop or tablet)

Can I attend the sessions virtually?

The free personalised sessions at Wests New Lambton are in-person. We believe that people can connect and learn better when they interact face-to-face.

How long will the sessions take?

Sessions are 30 min one-on-one tech help with Youngsters.

Will my problem be solved during the session?

Youngsters solve the tech problem the first time 89% of the time. If they can’t solve the issue, they will research it and find a solution.

Youngsters great at general tech skills and providing friendly companionship. They are not specialised in handling highly technical problems, so if you need help with some coding or deeply technical things, they are not for you.

I am unable to attend the session. How can I cancel it?

To cancel a session, please call 1300 774 711. Alternatively, visit the Help Desk at Wests New Lambton and our friendly staff can help you to cancel and reschedule your session to a time that suits you better.

Can I get help at home?

Yes, youngster.co does offer private 1:1 assistance with basic tech issues at home. However, the at-home assistance does have a fee of $88 per hour.

Who is Youngster.co ?

Youngster.co is a certified social enterprise that creates job opportunities for young people who assist seniors with their tech needs. They manage onboarding, vetting and management of the tech-savvy youngsters. A key part of the program is to allow the seniors to transfer some life skills to the next generation so the youngsters learn essential communication skills and employability skills like punctuality, patience and empathy.
