CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The safety and wellbeing of Wests members, guests and employees is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. Wests is closely monitoring and responding appropriately to the situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19) and advice provided by the NSW Government.

A number of NSW locations have been identified as hotspots for Covid-19 members and guests who have visited any of the locations listed by NSW Government at health.nsw.gov.au will not be allowed access to our Wests clubs, Hotels and Gyms at this time.

ALL members and guests are required to check in upon entry. The Wests Group use the Service NSW QR code system to sign patrons into the venue.

Check in process:
1. Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera or QR code reader
2. Follow the prompts on the Service NSW app or on the Service NSW webform
3. Show a staff member that you have signed in

Upon entry we kindly request that you adhere to the following hygiene guidelines:

- If you are feeling unwell or experiencing cold & flu symptoms, please do not enter the property;
- Ensure you practice social distancing at all possible times;
- Hand sanitisers are freely available for your use throughout the business;
- We kindly ask that you exercise strict hygiene standards during your visit.


Our dining outlets, gaming lounges and bars are open 7 days with social distancing in place and 1.5m spacing between tables.

As a condition of entry members and guests will be required to sign in and out of the Club using the Service NSW QR code system. We are required to record the names and contact details of all members, guests, staff, contractors and any other person that enters the club, and to retain this information for 28 days for contact tracing purposes. For the avoidance of doubt, the details of any minors are not required to be recorded.

Entry to each club is via the main entrance only.

Access to Wests New Lambton via the carpark air bridge and Tauranga Road will be temporarily closed.

Can minors attend the venue under current restrictions?

Children attending our Licenced Clubs may only do so in company with a Responsible Adult, or for special pre-booked events such as school formals.

NSW Legislation requires the Club to refuse entry to any person under the age of 18 years who is not in the company of a Responsible Adult.

A Responsible Adult means an adult who is;

  • A parent, step-parent or legal guardian of the minor, or
  • The minors spouse or de facto partner,
  • For the time being standing in as the parent of the minor (In Loco Parentis)

Is there a time limit to club visitation?

No, there is no limit to the amount of time a member can spend in-club.


How are you managing the health and safety of employees, members and guests?

Keeping our members and employees safe is our number one priority. We will continue to apply the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. Our increased focus on social distancing assistance measures includes on-ground markers, queuing systems, signage and regular announcements. We have dedicated CovidSAFE Marshals monitoring numbers and enforcing social distancing requirements.


How can members and guests assist with keeping each other safe?

In accordance with best practice guidelines we recommend all members adopt high standards of personal hygiene, including washing hands and using hand sanitiser frequently.

Safe social distancing requirements include:

- No standing, guests must remain seated when not placing or collecting an order;

- Ensure 1.5 metres between groups;

To make it easier for you to visualise the recommended safe physical distance between people when ordering, please look for the markings our team have placed on the floor. Standing on these marked areas will ensure you are separated from other customers by the recommended 1.5 metres.

Members and guests who feel unwell with cold or flu like symptoms are requested to follow advice of health authorities and avoid attending Wests Clubs.

It is important that we all stay safe by adhering to government directions and if you have not already done so, please join us in downloading the CovidSAFE app.


Do we need to book in advance to attend the Club or dine at food outlets?

No. Club entry and casual eating outlets are walk-in only. Bookings are accepted for our restaurants - Texas Bar-B-Q Grill, T-Bone's Tex Mex, Emerald Gardens, Lure Seafood Restaurant and Chophouse Grill.


Will there be live entertainment and promotions?

Due to current government restrictions promotions, arts and crafts, some bingo sessions, housie, hoi, pensioner concerts, Friday and Saturday night entertainment as well as all functions and ticketed events will not operate. For cancelled show ticket holders please return your ticket to the Club's Help Desk where you initially purchased for a full refund.

Are there any changes to parking?

Our carpark facilities continue to be accessible for Wests members attending the Club.

Please note access to Wests New Lambton via the carpark air bridge will be temporarily closed.


What payment options will be available in-club?

In line with the heightened medical guidelines we encourage members to utilise our Tap and Go contactless electronic payment method.

Our ATM facilities will be available and frequently sanitised.


How long will the current restrictions apply?

The NSW Government has not advised how long these conditions will be required; however, they will be reviewed regularly in line with the broader COVID-19 situation and case numbers.


Are Wests Hotels currently open?

The Executive Inn, Newcastle, The Gateway Inn, Newcastle and The Anchorage Port Stephens continue to remain open and provide a safe home away from home for those undertaking travel within government guidelines.

When can we access Balance Collective health clubs?

We have reopened in a modified format providing access for Balance and Fitness Passport members only at Balance City & Mayfield. Balance New Lambton is undergoing refurbishment and due to re-open February 2021.
