How do I apply for a job with Wests?

All of our current vacancies are listed below, and you can apply via the email link included in the listing.

What sort of people are you looking for?

Wests is always on the lookout for vibrant, energetic individuals to join our Team. Our organisation brings together people from all walks of life to have fun, celebrate and share a sense of belonging. Are all of your jobs advertised on this page?

Yes, all of our vacant positions are listed on our website.

Can I apply for more than one position?

Yes, there is no need to send an application for each position of interest. If you see more than one position that fits your talents, simply note your preferences within your application and you will be considered against the selection criteria for those roles also.

How long will the application process take?

This may vary depending on the role and the volume of applications. However, you will be contacted within 48 hours after the closing date if you have been successful in moving forward to the next stage.

What do I need to bring to the interview with me?

This will vary depending on the role however, in general we will ask you to bring your passport and/or birth certificate and evidence of any qualifications relevant to the role.

What qualifications do I need?

This varies depending on the role and will be specifically listed for each job. Minimum requirements for most roles within the Club environment however is current RSA & RCG, Commercial Cookery Certificate III for Chefs and First Aid and CPR for all positions in the Gym.

I have worked for Wests before. Can I apply?

Yes.

The job I would like to apply for isn’t listed. Can I still send my resume?

Yes. If you don’t see a position that fits your talents, you can register an Expression of Interest (EOI) and let us know what type of position you are interested in.

If I am not successful in my application will I get feedback?

Unfortunately with the high volume of applications we receive we are not able to get back to everyone. If you are successful in moving past the initial CV screening stage, we can provide feedback after interviews if requested.

I’ve been unsuccessful in an application with Wests before. Can I apply again?

Yes.

Do you offer apprenticeships or traineeships?

Yes. Occasionally we offer entry level positions to new or existing Apprentices or Trainees. If there is nothing listed but you would still like to apply, please feel free to submit an Expression of Interest. There may be an opportunity just around the corner!

HEALTH ALERT

The safety and wellbeing of Wests members, guests and employees is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. Wests is closely monitoring and responding appropriately to the situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19) and advice provided by the NSW Government.

A number of NSW locations have been identified as hotspots for Covid-19 members and guests who have visited any of the locations listed by NSW Government at health.nsw.gov.au will not be allowed access to our Wests clubs, Hotels and Gyms at this time.

ALL members and guests are required to check in upon entry. The Wests Group use the Service NSW QR code system to sign patrons into the venue.

Check in process:

  1. Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera or QR code reader
  2. Follow the prompts on the Service NSW app or on the Service NSW webform
  3. Show a staff member that you have signed in
